TITLE
Unpacking Geometry from Boxes You Make
DESCRIPTION

A review/reminder for most, and an introduction for otbhers for many of the concepts related to basic geometry using quadrilaterals, trapezoids, parallelograms, rectangles, rhombi, and squares. Ratios and proportions will be utilized to observe and then predict how the original area of the greeting card relates to the conmpleted box in terms of surface area and volume. Algebraic and geometric relationoships and the Pythagorean Theorem are used to help discover those ratios.

TITLE
USE CUBES AS A SETTING FOR YOUR PROBLEM SOLVING
DESCRIPTION

A cube or a stack of cubes is the starting point for many rich problems involving even more math concepts. Work your way through factors, combinatorics, volume, surface area, networks, and more by solving math contest problems. A dozen 4-6 minute cube problems provide a fresh approach to these topics. As a participant, you will receive at least 50 additional contest problems to take back to your students.

As an excellent source for many additional problems we highly recommend the following books:
